Lemon and light eucalyptus on the nose. On the palate, lemon peel, brine, and a note of tangerine, with a short to medium finish and moderate acidity. It feels a little oily and fat, but avoids being flabby. If this had a bit more acid and a longer finish I would score it in the excellent range, as it's exactly what is expected in a Muscadet. It lacks a little something, but it paired very well with oysters. Average value for the money at about $16.
High-toned Sharpie notes, oxidized walnut skins, and a really unpleasant bit of butyric acid on the nose. Palate is completely hollow -- just some acidity and not much else. I'm inclined to think something's off with this bottle.
