Still drinking well. Wouldn't have picked it being 9 years old. Although, I'm starting to feel that Central Otago Pinots are really at their best when young. No real earthiness to add the complexity to make the loss of beautiful Otago fruit (particularly the wonderful young nose) worthwhile.

Black cherries, red plums with a hint of oak. It is smooth like Chinese silk, a great smooth finish with very soft tannins. Some cedar notes in the nose and I swear a bit of chocolate hiding in there somewhere. A bit of spiciness is present and also an essence of the forest lurks within. This is an excellent wine that I would love to experience again and again and again.

Fully mature, with roasted black cherry and minerally notes. Liked it better a few years ago.

Fruity tart red berry cola cloves, with spicy finish. Went well with first press soy sauce steamed garoupa. Very good (maybe an 87).
