somewhat early at this stage and lots of aging potenial aheead, but quite approachable if you can pair it with food to tame the tannins. a classic winr with od world charms. Not North Rhone classic but good enough.

Way more acid than Cali syrahs I've been drinking lately, and very good if somewhat angular structure. Nose of blueberry and candied cherry. Full, vibrant and slightly austere mouthfeel, tannins all in front of mouth and teeth. Black fruit, white pepper, dusty cocoa, some RS but shows up at the end. This wine has stuffing to go another 5-7 years min. Very good wine, not your juicy sweet Syrah though - Be ready!

Do not understand the hype behind this wine. Bottle was not flawed and decanted for an hour or more. Any California syrah from a average year beats this. Very disjointed on the palate - hard to discern any consistent, pleasant flavor.

This hardly moved over 7 nights. Quality is evident but I will wait a while before opening my next bottle.
