THis has not changed much since i last tried it a few years ago. Maybe a little softer round the edges but still earth, mushrooms, oak and a tiny bit of VA noticeable in the finish.

It is earthy solid and rather dry oaky bordeaux. It lacks the concentration and fruit to score higher but i was actually surprised how well it filled the palate. Would go very well with a bbq dish.

Haut-Medoc. 50 percent cabernet sauvignon and 50 percent merlot. The label is correct - "a lighter structure cay be noticed, some suppleness, some roundness and an undeniable fruity presence is also apparent ..." Everything except the "fruity presence" which is deniable because it is not much there, leaving an emptiness of taste in the middle. The first day and half-bottle, the wine held up and had some legs, but by the second day and half-bottle it had given up - far more lighter structure than fruity presence. This is 7 years after harvest which, I believe, should still be okay for a Haut-Medoc.
