Jean-François Bourdy's Decades tasting: One wine from every decade of the 20th century, back to 1904 (E&R, Portland, OR): Crazy, totally different aromas here. This one smells tart, with a pickle juice/lemon combination offering ridiculous intensity. Really blows my mind with its uniqueness. The palate is rich and creamy; delicious, with amazing richness and complexity. Very deep and intense, with nicely integrated tannins. Again some tart pickles are noticed, mixed with spiced apple skins. Awesome and silly. Rich finish that's tart with acid and a nice depth to it. Very rich and spicy.
