  • Good, clean but not overly fragrant nose. Quite a strong whiff of oak. Nice and dark fruited, sappy on the palate. Very juicy and moreish. Drinking well, nicely balanced. Probably a bit more oak than I would like but not overly intrusive even at this young age. The sappiness and moreish acidity really does ensure you keep coming back for another sip.

  • Drinking very well in its current state; The nose is still somewhat muted, but the palate is open for business, with plenty of juicy red fruits, florals and earth tones that culminate in a zesty and lip-smacking finish

  • This was more approachable than I'd expected. Good colour and nose, smooth, relatively good length. Probably a couple of years from its best, but already enjoyable.

  • Appearance: Bright and clear, it has medium ruby color, with pinkish rims and legs.
Nose: Clean, with medium (-) intensity of red fruit of raspberry and strawberry, tropical fruit of banana, mineral notes of earth, animal notes of leather, kernel notes of almond, pungent spice of pepper. The wine is developing.
Palate: Dry with high acidity, the wine has medium tannin of ripe and a bit grippy, with medium alcohol and light body, demonstrating medium (-) intensity of flavors including red fruit of raspberry and cherry, animal notes of leather, sweet spice of cinnamon, black fruit of plum. The wine has a medium (+) finish.
Conclusion: Good quality Beaujolais Cru with a fairly light nose but showing good complexity, the wine has the typical high acidity, demonstrating the light body and juicy characters of the varietal but also a relatively high tannin level for the grape, highlighting its ageing potential. The palate is not too concentration but the length is fairly long. Ready to drink now, and not intend for further ageing.

  • Dark purple with a shy brooding nose that revealed a touch of floral undertones. Medium bodied with a juicy core, soft tannins and quite a delightful Beaujolais
