Drank last bottle with friends. Everyone enjoyed. All the components that make a good Guwurz were still there. Had with Chinese food and was a great match.

Being a 2004, I thought it might be over the hill. I was pleasantly surprised. The boquet was very faint, but as far as taste, it had all its charcteristics in tact for this varietal. Especially the nice spicey bite on the tongue.

Drank with dinner at Zazie in Cole Valley... Nice nose with some yellow/golden fruits, a hint of rose petal. Nice breadth and viscosity in the mouth, if perhaps lacking some cut and acidity. It finishes pleasantly and pairs very nicely with pasta, fish, and likely with Thai/Asain foods also.

Strong aroma and flavor of lychee, very smooth, rich mouthfeel (the most I’ve ever tasted in a white wine!), some apparent (not actual) sweetness but dry aftertaste. Golden color. No spritz. Would pair excellently with Thai food.

Wonderfully sweet. No syrup. Perfect with a meringue or a batch of cookies. versatile. Drink now and don't wait for it to mellow.
