(Paul Achs Blaufrankish Edelgrund) The wine has some oak but lots of pure beautiful black fruits and a very seductive silky texture. Gorgeously delineated with pinpoint precision and no hard edges. Opened up very nicely in the glass and had some interesting mint and anise notes. Austrian reds from '03 are really stunning. Really a great vintage that merits attention. Probably one of the few great vintages in the market no one cares about. Too bad.
