Looks like they changed their label a little bit for 2011 but the wine showed a similar profile than the '09 I had 1.5 years ago. Some oak on the nose with a hint of orchard fruits (peach) and dark fruits. Even though the wine is only 13% it gives the impression of being much more alcoholic. Palate is full and again over oaked (despite only 10% new oak). Lacks acidity and is boring.

I liked this a little less than the 2010. It's missing the pepper on the nose, but is still a very savory syrah with good acidity and moderate tannins. Easy drinking, still a great value.

Pretty much unchanged from my last bottle. Good, straightforward, St. Joseph.

Nice, straightforward, easy St. Joseph. A bit one-note, but a good wine for the price.
