Lovely Meursault with strong peach and lemon meringue on the nose. Palate is heavier than nose would suggest, almost a voluptuous style with plenty of citrus, light but present minerals, and a slight whiff of petrol to keep it from being too sweet. Delightful now; might still get a little better with 1-2 more years but showing well already.

A lost Friday afternoon gathering – 96 Oeno, 99 Roumier BM, 13 Ente VV, 95 Rayas, 90 Chap (BlackSalt, Washington DC): Initially a bit tight but opens up beautifully displaying the classic Lafon rich orchard fruit, also lemon curd, succulent white peach, a hint of mint and sesame/oak and mineral. Excellent concentration, white peach and lemon driven palate impression, bright acidity, medium mineral and a long rich and oily finish. I am incredibly happy that all my 10-12 Lafons remain very fresh without any sign of premox. “Knock on wood”.

Very fruity and round. Mature (not tired at all) village Lafon that display lots of stone fruit with white flowers. Recommended!
