Another Saturday at Knightsbridge - mostly blind (Northbrook, IL): Tasted double blind. I don't know if there are multiple cuvees, but this is Rugiens Bas. Tasted blind, i thought this a 2000 past its peak, with an unclean, bretty edge. Got worse with more time in glass.

Nice balance, good red fruit flavors. Has some structure to age for a few more years. Touch of volatile acidity that was a bit distracting. The fear is that this acidic streak will dominate the wine as the flavors become more secondary.
