  • Anita: medium + aromatics, white flowers, chalky minerality, subtle white peach, peach pit, apple. Bright, slick on the palate, very pleasing mouthfeel, good intensity (i.e. like a GV), excellent length. With Rosemary-Sage Brick-flattened Italian grilled chicken. From Jeff. Also had '12 Mastroberardino Falanghina, '11 Caves Blanc de Morgex

  • PnP served non-blind. Light straw color, clear. A fine perfume of aromas including stone fruit, apples, marzipan, crushed rocks, ocean breeze and a whisper of honey. Light toward medium body, elegant, structured, quite lovely, actually. Flavors largely follow the nose, with the beautiful honey notes lingering a while on the back end. Understated, excellent typicity and something I could drink quite often. Even though there were are a good number of experienced palates at the table, none (other than myself) had previous experience with Fiano - based on the comments (all quite positive), I think this wine helped to make a significantly good first impression. Worked famously with a primi of spaghetti alle vognole. recommended, 13,5% abv, thru 2016

  • Quite fantastic. Medium straw color, with pronounced typicity on the nose of white linen, freshly cut white floral, sliced apple, persimmon, with faint herb and crushed stone notes rounding it all out. Floats the line between light and medium body, with just a touch of weight and complexity added as it warms. Superb mouthfeel, very clean, extremely tasty. I was left wanting another case. Summer shipping window be damned! 13,5% abv.; worth the premium for this well-grown Fiano. Best thru 2016
