Ruby color. Medium intense nose let on to cherry, white pepper, freesia, vanilla and petrol. On the palate, dry with medium to high acidity as well as medium tannin. Full-bodied with flavors of red and black cherry, vanilla and pepper spice. Long finish. Carefully oaked creature. Just enough oak to add some vanilla tones but so much to render a coffee/espresso tone (from a dark toasted barrel) that in my opinion takes the fruity joy out of what Pinot Noir is all about. The cherry fruit and acidity paired nicely with braised lamb shanks.

Has evolved very nicely. Elegant Anderson Valley style and cherry flavors. Probably at its best now. Very enjoyable.
