color: light purple velvet; nose: earth and oak; taste: medium-bodied mouth feel, tastes of red fruit and spice, medium-length finish with smoky tobacco tannins; overall: decent-quality Old World juice which displays balance and integrity, good QPR ($12/bottle in Japan), good enough as a weeknight pour or serve to casual company

Medium body, light ruby red, lightly aromatic, ripe plums and fresh cherry aroma, plum, species and light oak on the palate, light tannins, plum on finish, medium length finish, well balanced, nice acidity, food friendly. Well drinking with champignons in sour cream sauce and grilled vegetables. Serve 18º - 20º. Open at least two hours beforehand. Drink now and next year.

Rubbery nose with musty fruit, some animality and charcoal. Medium bodied, supple and fruity on the palate with pretty tight grip of tannins. Dry and medicinal style, which I often find appealing, but this Chianti was rather unpleasent with all its rubbery nuances and overall clumsiness.

Pales in comparison to the hold label. Rich, but almost acidic taste.
