  color: light purple velvet; nose: earth and oak; taste: medium-bodied mouth feel, tastes of red fruit and spice, medium-length finish with smoky tobacco tannins; overall: decent-quality Old World juice which displays balance and integrity, good QPR ($12/bottle in Japan), good enough as a weeknight pour or serve to casual company

  colour: transparent red

  palate: medium bodied, soft tannins, med acidity, nice balance, fruity, surprisingly smooth for a simple chianti, short finish, but enjoyable as a simple daily chianti.
