What a lovely wine - the name of the game here is texture: like a weighted fleece blanket, but silken and lustrous, like hair in a Vidal Sassoon commercial. A 96+ -point texture. Lovely nose too - pure, pretty fruit with some autumnal leaf matter around the edges and possibly a dollop of sulfurous reduction. The other qualities are nice, but far from perfect - it could use a touch more acid, the fruit seems a bit past peak without sufficient secondary/tertiary development; and there’s a bit of dullness to the midpalate, which lacks depth and concentration. But in light of how great the texture is, none of it really matters - this is a wonderful wine.

Pop and pour. This btl seemed past prime. Ok nose: dried pomegranate, spice, apple?. On the palate: good acidity, dried earth, pomegranate molasses, dried strawberry, good density and the barest wisp of grainy tannin on the finish. Waited a bit too long. Drink up?

Delicious, drinking well now. Deep dark red pinot fruit, stony earth, and slight herbs. Medium-plus body. Long finish. Very good now, but will be good for another 7-8.

Ripe dark fruit, earthy, silky and very enjoyable. At or close to peak.

A beauty and drinking so well now. Pure cherry fruit and minerality. Not earth shattering, but so satisfying.
