This is one of best Dujacs I have had from 2011, a more difficul vintage. There was no trace of greeness in this bottle, as opposed to the 11 Beaumont or Malconsort I have had in the past.
It broods with cherry, bluberry, violet and the Dujac exotic spice signiture on the nose. The wine is pure, clean, occupies the entire mouth. (It needs about half an hour in bottle aeration, it was very tight on the palate right after open). Well balaced, no trace of wood, after taste of minerality.

Consumed side-by-side with 2011 Domaine de la Romanee-Conti Echezeaux. Decanted and consumed over ~5 hours. Both great for the vintage, but the DRC gets my nod. They both had black fruit, rose/violet floral elements and a long finish. The Dujac had some green stem notes that detracted. Those could resolve with more time. We'll see. These were both great and to expectations.

Lean, green and light. Underfruited. Disappointing.

Elegant and complex wine which is opening up.
It has a lightness but also well hidden power
