Nick A's Burgundy Series, 2011 Edition, kids table: This is lovely - and thank you to my tablemates for their generous endeavours in helping me pronounce the name of the producer. Again, a hint of florality - parma violets, rose petals perhaps? There's a purity to it but it's fully ready to drink - not plush but at least as much to be enjoyed as to be admired. Properly classy - put me in mind of some of my earliest Fourrier experiences.

Nick's 2011 Burgundies (Noizé): Fresh and sweet, wood smoke and meadow flowers, delicate and pretty. There is some reduction to start, but this is simply wonderful wine that hits the right notes everywhere. The red fruit is on the darker end of the spectrum, pure and refined, but without being high-toned or over the top in any way, it’s just classy wine.

Nick A's 2011 Burgundy Horizontal (Table 2) (Noizé, London): Rose petal, lingonberry jam reduction, oxtail and a little greenness that reminds me of celery. Really grows in the glass. Palate has joyous, crunchy (and slightly lifted) red fruits, a little pepperiness and great length. Really works well with the food.
