  Really delicious, with great qpr and a finish that punches way above its price. Classic Riesling stone fruit, green plum, jasmine, with a driving acidity that kept me reaching for the glass. Paired beautifully with both a 5-spice accented duck confit and an apple crumble with cardamom butterscotch.

  The nose was reminiscent of walking through an orchard in July, with fresh apricots and hints of English daisies and jasmine. Palate full but subtle, with white peaches and a creamy, weighty mouthfeel. Pronounced, rich body for a Riesling, a la Alsace, with a great finish.
  
  I believe this would compare quite favorably with an imported Trimbach or Hugel any day, with more ripeness than the entry-level bottlings from those producers. Though riesling is so often paired with spicy-sweet southeast Asian cuisine, I suspect this heftier dry version would go better with a northern European, stick-to-the-ribs sort of meal. I'm thinking moose, venison, chicken pot pie, or similar hearty winter fare.
