Drank this wine over a couple of days with some much cheaper Bourgognes. The wine has dense tannins, sour cherries, and minerals on the pallet. Probably too early to drink this wine, but it was quite good, more complex and a technically better bottle of wine than either of the French bottles. However, the price is really steep, I have a hard time justifying it at this price.

Nose of crushed, fermenting black cherries, with a note of vanilla. A delicate palate is overwhelmed by an oversteeped bitter-cherry flavour, and the finish is harsh and astringent.
