Aromas are a little steamy, showing some slightly oxidative aromas, dark spiced apples, tart, powdery alcohol. Smells a little awkward and chemically. Spicy entry on the palate as well, with a luscious body. Good cutting acidity and minerality, but there's also a heaviness from noted alcohol. Quite hefty texture and overall sensation. Tart spicy alcohol on the finish as well. Really intense but again, there's certainly some alcohol that is pervasive throughout. Label only says 13.5%, but it seems quite a bit higher. Still an interesting and unique wine, but that spicy weight is a bit too much for me.
