Appearance: Bright and clear, it has light lemon color, with wide watery rims and legs. Nose: Clean, with medium (-) intensity aromas of citrus fruit of lemon, floral notes of linden and jasmine, mineral notes of steely and beeswax, green fruit of green apple, stone fruit of peach. The wine is youthful. Palate: Dry with high acidity, the wine has medium alcohol and light body, with medium (+) intensity flavors of citrus fruit of lemon, green fruit of muscat, stone fruit of peach, floral notes of acacia. The wine has a medium finish. Conclusion: Good quality Austria Riesling showing the typical varietal characters, with a fairly light intensity on the nose of reasonably complexity, the palate has a nice fresh acidity with the lightness of the wine balancing well with the good structure and fruity flavors. Still fairly young, this bottle has sufficient depth to further develop given more years to a better wine.

Wachau Spring Wine Festival (Wachauer Weinfrühling) (The Wachau): More rounded and more fragrant on the nose than the Klaus, with white peaches and a bit of pear nectar. Slightly muted at first on the palate, but opens up to coat the roof of the mouth. Seemed initially to tail a bit on the finish, but leaves a longlasting impression in the lower register. A wine that creeps up on you! € 35. *****

Poised and balanced. Pretty subtle. Was expecting a bit more power.
