MNB: High Acid Whites (Home (Noe st)): (blind) Pale yellow. Dry. Medium intensity aromatics. Slight reduction, slight tdn/petrol. 13% alcohol (actually 12.5%). Bone dry. Fruit character is warmer - peach and nectarine. Acid is high-minus. Slight phenolics. - Mosel GG - Alsace AOP - Australia - Eden Valley - Austria Smaragd
Based on fruit character being riper and phenolics, I'd lean towards GG or Austria. Given the lower acid and phenolics, I think this is more typical of Austria.
2016 Smaragd Riesling, Austria. Not great fruit intensity - I want more nectarine. actual: Federspiel Riesling - Rudi Pichler. 2012 Analysis - Pretty close, but I was off on alcohol, and thus ripeness classification.
