Classic pinotage, with lots of smoky and leather notes. I've had more full bodied pinotages but this one stood up to grill tri-tip with no problems but didn't overwhelm salmon.

Very soft, light aromas, with some spice. Lighter aromas than their "Den" bottling. Very soft palate entry, and its expression starts out pretty mild, though luscious in acidity. Pretty nice and tart, with acidity that feels nicely in balance with fruit and powdery earth notes. Good dial up of acid on the finish, offering some depth and length. Really nice stuff.

A gift from my daughter who carried it home from SA. Was lovely with BBQ chicken.
