  Joli bordeaux à maturité, le bois est désormais intégré, le jus est relativement fluide, ça descend facilement et les goûts bordelais sont bien identifiables. Ça manque de caractère pour aller plus hait, et il n'y a pas une énorme réserve de matière ou de tanins pour prévoir une évolution positive à moyen terme. Je boirai la dernière dans les deux ans je pense. 89-90

  Le premier nez montre encore une emprise importante du bois, mais cela se règle rapidement avec un peu d'air. Le nez sur les fruits rouges est plutôt beau, équilibré entre la fraîcheur des fruits et des notes plus secondaires. J'aime beaucoup la bouche, qui associe parfaitement la suavité du merlot à la finesse du cabernet franc, les tanins sont remarquables, une légère touche fumée en finale. Je ne l'ai jamais goûté aussi bon, il est prêt et à boire sur cinq ans, je dirais.

  I was fortunate to buy a couple cases of this on closeout a year and a half ago. It was drinking beautifully then, and it still is now. It starts out with somewhat muted dark fruit flavors and then opens up beautifully over the next hour with plum, blackberry and coffee notes.
  This seems to be an example of a "classic" vintage: the wine is elegant rather than powerful, with fine tannins and moderate acidity and alcohol. It should have a few years left in it.
