I have been a fan of these for some time, but rarely let them sit around for more than a few years. So as an experiment, I let this one age for longer than usual. Still very nice, but showing signs of age. Turning more golden in color with very slight notes of oxidation. Herbal back end has more umami, maybe very light shiitake flavor. Probably a little over the hill. At least this bottle. But still nice.

Regular dinner group (@ My place): In the bouquet white and yellow tropical fruits. On the palate very tasty with ripe fruits and a lot of spiciness. Firm acidity and tropical fruits. Good citrus and good acidity. Good concentration as well. 91 - 92

Nose - lemon-lime, floral Mouth - sakiz, a dry caramel per Jason, complex, slightly herbal, acidity accentuates with chilling. Aged underwater? An example of complex Albariño

Send-off in Style (Bourbon Steak, DC): One of the surprises of the night. Good stuff, young, tight, lots of acidity. Lemon, tart pears, smell of wet slate rock, hints of brine.
