  • Aromas of plum, licorice, wild cherry and spice. Nose got better over an hour. Again, this bottle doesn't have the weight that the earlier bottles had, with flavors of licorice, plum, leather and cherry. Ends with a decent finish of of 15-20 seconds. Think this was a tad better in it's youth.

  • I really liked this when I was at the tasting room, but it just kind of disappointed tonight. Thin, light, and not really very complex, it seemed rather flat. I remember this being much more complex and flavorful. Still though, it had a good nose and great acidity. Paired well with a slice of flank steak. Wouldn't recommend aging this one much longer.

  • Not big on Malbec's, this didn't change my mind on that. Fruit forward, plum and minerals. Not much depth to the palette, fairly tart though, with a medium finish.

  • Aromas of plum, black cherry and licorice. Flavors of blackberry, current earth and touch of herb. This isn't as nice as the first time I had it. Finishes a little short and la is body in the mid palate.

  • We didn't love this. Currently a lot of the flavor comes from oak. The wine starts with a mouthful of cherry flavor that quickly turns to big oak. A strong acidic streak. The flavors weren't very well integrated and the wine lacked breadth. We poured it back into the bottle and opened something else. Maybe it's just too young.
