Probably at its peak right now — really nice!. Complex nose; tannins have faded; good balance with the fruit. Cherries and leather; nice enough that I had to raise my rating.

Clear, Amber red. Cherry and strawberries on the nose. There is a nice balance of leather, cherries and citrus notes. While the wine quickly opened up well, it should be drunk in a couple hours, because it did seem to start to fade. This is pretty good for a wine that is 10+ years old!

Second review - much better the second night. Still using the Corovin to preserve the wine. Garnet color, Bing cherry and chocolate flavors dominate. Slow legs. No sediment, light body. It has a silky texture and low acidity. The wine finishes long. Raised the rating by a point. As I wrote last night, it's nothing like a Cab, however I'm okay with that.
Decent wine, more like a Merlot than a Cab. No tannins present. Notes of blackberry, tobacco, espresso. I'll continue the notes tomorrow. used my Corovin tonight. Just tried a small amount to go with my angel hair pasta and red sauce. The reviewers who gave it low ratings either expected a big bold Cab or had a bad bottle.

I'm still rating this slightly higher than most others do. The wine is still very good.

This wine has become a cooking wine. I’m going to let it decant for awhile but considering it’s 9 years old it’s okay.
