Probably at its peak right now — really nice!. Complex nose; tannins have faded; good balance with the fruit. Cherries and leather; nice enough that I had to raise my rating.

Clear, Amber red. Cherry and strawberries on the nose. There is a nice balance of leather, cherries and citrus notes. While the wine quickly opened up well, it should be drunk in a couple hours, because it did seem to start to fade. This is pretty good for a wine that is 10+ years old!

Second review - much better the second night. Still using the Corovin to preserve the wine. Garnet color, Bing cherry and chocolate flavors dominate. Slow legs. No sediment, light body. It has a silky texture and low acidity. The wine finishes long. Raised the rating by a point. As I wrote last night, it's nothing like a Cab, however I'm okay with that.
Decent wine, more like a Merlot than a Cab. No tannins present. Notes of blackberry, tobacco, espresso. I'll continue the notes tomorrow. used my Corovin tonight. Just tried a small amount to go with my angel hair pasta and red sauce. The reviewers who gave it low ratings either expected a big bold Cab or had a bad bottle.

A deep garnet off dry medium body wine 13.9% alc. with a moderate aroma of black current. Fair to go balance with moderate flavor. Not a bad wine for $12.60, But it gave me a headache.

Mature nose with nice oak. The wine is still fruit forward, with strong overtones of black cherry, tobacco, and vanilla (in that order). I'm going to let my other bottles lay down for at least a year, but I think it may take two or three.

Attractive aromas of berries and spice, lots of fresh dark friuit but still a lot of grip on the palate. Will benefit from a couple of years in the bottle to smooth out.

nose is has strawberry, cherry, licorice taste is nice dry black berry finish is a little tannic cherry Update: next day, after corking, it revally went flat with a sour finish. Disapointing. I think still would be an okay wine first day, some breathing and with food.

Not to be a snob here… but this was an Oak-splosion…. yikes. Lots of oak. Some sweet red berry fruit… more oak. Not that I expect a whole lot at this price point, but…wait was that a hint of oak?

I found this wine to be very thin on the palette. Some of the other reviews mentioned one-dimensional. I could see that.
The wine looks Ruby colored. The legs are Slow. It smells like and Cherry. It tastes like Alcohol/Hot, and Cherry. The body is Light. The wine has Narrow texture. The wine finishes Medium.

A simple cabernet ready for the table now but could use a few years to smooth out a bit. I would consider this an every day drinker that would be better served to guests after a few years in the cellar! The tannins are mild. 13.9% alcohol. Just average.

Simply put, this wine is clean and relaxed. The nose was more spicy and less fruity than a typical Cabernet, and the in-mouth experience was similar, in addition to flavorful cherry notes. Impressive in many ways, especially for the age.

A very tasty cabernet in more of an old world than contemporary California style; which is to say less fruit forward, more earth, oak, and tannin. Very good.

This wine has become a cooking wine. I’m going to let it decant for awhile but considering it’s 9 years old it’s okay.

Disjointed and not very good the first day but much better the second. Simple and straightforward. An inexpensive wine from a not very good year.
