Decanted for an hour off a fair amount of sediment, medium body, very strong legs, it’s a bit spicy, with clove and cinnamon, the wood is integrating nicely with the cherry fruit, good freshness and finish, there’s a few velvety tannins showing that should dissolve in the coming years. A crowd pleasing brunello and very tasty indeed

Really good, balanced with integrated oak, dark berry fruit, dried sage leaf, a little blood. Still fresh with a lot of life to go but in it’s drinking window at this age and a heady joyful experience!

My first Cupano, and a very interesting example of Brunello. I was a bit surprised by the amount of oak showing on the nose (later reading that it's due to aging in barrique), but it was well integrated on the palate. Tons of cherry flavor with some earthy/leathery undertones. A few fellow tasters thought that if served blind it might pass for a high quality Rioja, and I agreed that there's a similar profile. Overall this is a wine that was just as good with food as it was on its own - very versatile and delicious.

Really outstanding. Rich, integrated, still youthful at 11.
