  • What can I say? I didn't drink too many white wines compared to reds, about 0.57% 😉 so I know that I don't know anything about white wines, and here's something that not only I don't I know, but I don't know what to write 😳 I'll try anyway. This vintage contains, according to my research, 100% Marsanne. Of course, this is my first time drinking this type of wine, so I have no way to compare. Either way, it's a crazy 'material' in both smell and taste. Prunes, raisins, tar, lots of herbs, honey, minerals, melon.
It's all very clearly defined. You can see it's a crazy mix. Taste? The wine is definitely on the sweet side of dry wines. Pineapple, pear, honey, grapefruit (thank you G. for those slightly bitter flavors). Relatively low acidity for a dry white wine. Some citrus fruit would be nice. But maybe this grape has such a character? In any case, you absolutely do not feel that this wine is so old. I mean, I have no idea what it tastes like when it's much younger.
I forgot to mention the lovely texture. Thick, buttery, oily.
