From Coravin. Green apple, baking spices, a little almost banana joins with some pear and riper apple with time in the glass as well as a touch of cream. And the palate is very much a reflection of the nose; orchard fruit; apple over pear, apple skin texture, off dry (just), wonderful balance of acid and sugar. Long. Marvellous.

From Coravin. Sulphur, slight mineral notes initially; very slate with a green apple smashed into it, sprinkled by white pepper and surrounded by fresh herbs. With time the green apple note grows with a touch of lime. Medium plus acid is a little over powering for the sugar levels for me but not objectionably . The fruit is, arguably, a little muted but the mineral note persists. Hmm.

Last Tuesday Supper Club (One Penny Red, Summer Hill): Initially a touch of kerosene but, with a little time, this blew off to show slaty minerality, slight apple notes. In the mouth it's juicy with apple and a little peach. Off dry but with sufficient acid to support. There is a slight drying quality here as well. Hmm.

Coravin fun with Riesling (Kennards, Waterloo): From Coravin. Ripe red apple, spicy, almost cherry blossom on the nose. Juicy with custard apple and spice on the palate. Rather splendid but with plenty of calm time to come.

Very orchard apples even down to the mid-palate. A little juicy apple. Arguably a little simplistic but enjoyable the none the less. Fresh.
