3/4, vg cork. Decanted 1/2 hour. Youthful appearance - deep ruby core, pale ruby rim. Nose shows dark cherry fruit, spice, touch of earth and liquorice. Quite rich yet fresh too. Medium/full bodied, soft tannins, rich, attractive dark fruit, spice, some red fruit also on mid-palate, touch of liquorice, then lovely vibrant acidity carries a good length, harmonious finish. Lovely, and drinking beautifully.

Medium/deep garnet core, pale garnet rim. Strikingly pure red fruit, spice, florals. Medium/full bodied, pure red fruit, old vine creamy edge, very fine, soft tannins, spice, fresh acidity, long, harmonious finish. Excellent, drinking well, no hurry.
NB: I have seen this wine in both Bordeaux and burgundy shaped bottles - with quite different taste profiles. This bottle was the Bordeaux shaped version.

Tannins say sangio but this is a very generous, forward wine. It feels good, though, it feels right, probably just needs to settle in.
