Served blind. slightly ashy and stalky, cherry, strawberry and earthy with a slight volatile underpin. Juicy and, again, a touch of volatility, slight peppery note, structured, talc textured tannins, stalks and dark hued fruit. Took a while to open but started to show better with time. I new this was mine.

Very tasty. Mud-weight, lighter tinged color, but very expressive fruit. Balanced, with nicely subtle red fruit flavors and moderate finish. Very nice at this point.

Burgundy "Masterclass" - Day 2 (Sydney, New South Wales, Australia): [From Coravin] Black fruit (blueberry, subtle blackberry), oak (vanilla), and bottle-age (wet earth) on top of subtle stem/whole-bunch (subtle ash) and whole-berry (subtle boiled candy). The structure has great balance with medium level acidity and tannins, and the finish has a medium(+) length. Still quite primary; some tertiary notes will make it very interesting.

From Coravin. Plums over blackberry, sweet oak spice, a touch of ashy stalks and slightly jubey notes. Juicy, blackberry and plums are a little more lozenge on the palate, the tannins playing a supporting role. Very good but potential for age as well.

Strong acidity in a fairly big-boned wine. Very good for village level in 2011.
