  • Lots of berry, prume... thick wine... good alcohol... could do 1 or 2 years more in storage.

  • Ok, will give this a 90+...about 35$ @ MLCC when i bought about 4 yrs ago. Is drinking great now, still has life left.

Overall it is a thick and heavier wine with clear smokey/oak character - but not to much and in balance.

Nose is rich and thick with black brambly fruit and some tobacco. Palate is full bodied with nice light acid and tannin. Fruit is rich and as per nose - fair amount of some old leather/tobacco in there as well as maybe some asian spice as others comment. Long finish.

I will be searching out latest vintages for some cellar time!

  • Again, on the nose it's cassis & tobacco leaf with a hint of asian spice. On the palate, this is pure cassis, raspbery & gingerbread man juice. Good acidity, not heavy in any way. Good balanced cab.

  • Unnecessarily heavy bottle - weighs more than its content. Interesting blend of CS, Shiraz, Petit Verdot and Carmenere. Sweet blackberries and oaky spice on the nose. Open and fruity on the palate with sweet blackberries, some sweet plum fruit too, quite spicy and a hint vegetal with tobacco notes. The rather cloying sweetness of the fruit is countered by a refreshing acidity and a juicy body keeping things quite balanced in the end. Nobel oak flavors, smooth tannins. Slightly hot at room temerature on the finish. Nice BBQ wine. Ready to drink. - 88 points

  • Very nice cab. Red fruits (cassis, raspberries) with some nicely integrated oak. This can still age well for 3-5 years.
