Italy Tasting: Medium ruby/purple color. Nice and complex nose of dark cherries, sweet spices (cinnamon, cloves) and some wood aromatics (cedar, oak). Medium body with lower medium silky tannins and medium-high fresh acidity. Overall very nice balance of fruit and structure. Pretty long finish. Fresh and interesting wine with quite some complexity.

15 popular Italian Grape Varieties Tasting (with pirates): During a "Top 15 Italian grape varieties" tasting, grape Refosco. Medium purple. Expressive nose of black fruits with oaky and smoky notes. Medium body with silky tannins and pronounced acidity. Smells like a Bordeaux, tastes like a Zweigelt, I am inclined to say whenever I drink the grape Refosco. Very nice and fresh wine.
