Gorgeous garnet in color with yellowing/bricking towards the rim. Mature Burg nose of barnyard, cherry, cola, wet leaves, and earth. Pleasant earthy palate presence from attack to finish. Really grippy for a mature pinot with good acidity suggesting classic Maison Leroy quality. This bottle must have been stored quite well.

Medium light red with brown edges. The barnyard is right up front with some orange and red fruit, some caramel as well. Just the acid left in the mouth though.
Decent nose and dry flavours but that acid.

Bill's Monthly Lunch - October 2011 (Vancouver, BC): Tasted blind – beautiful mature colour of light red/orange with slight browning near the rim. Gorgeous nose of barnyard, spice and traces of red fruits. Delicate in the mouth with good acidity. Flavours, like the nose, are mainly secondary/tertiary with just hints of mature red fruits. There’s some tartness on the finish. This started to fade in the glass and my last sip finished with nothing but acid. This was easy to identify as Burgundy. While this had a fantastic mature Burgundy nose and was still very nice to drink today, I think this might have been better 3-5 years ago. Very good.

started with a little funk. Fruit was still there, big finish. Many earthy nuances. Drank at Red Bar in Southampton with Richard and Amy Miller
