This is blossomed into something special. A big hit with the four diners. Characteristically Washington Cabernet Sauvignon, featuring tart red fruit; there is great depth here. Sorry to see these go, and very sorry that Buty is defunct. Their/her wines were a stellar QPR.

4th Saturday Brown Bagger (M&R's): Double blind. Opaque inky purple color. Aromas of dark fruit and blackberry. Much of the same on the palate, picking up some chocolate qualities as it opens in the glass. Balanced. Guessed petite. (R&S)

From a magnum that was decanted 3 hours then drank over the next 90 minutes with crab, clams, mussels and corn chowder. Dark black color. 85% CabSauv and 15% Syrah. Nose is sweet from Syrah. Surprising. First sip was even more surprising as the Syrah dominates the taste also. I would have guessed 50% or more of Syrah. I actually like that the Syrah stood out. Some nice flavor layers, wonderful balance and structure. Long lingering finish. Very nice wine as long as you know the Cab provides structure but little on the taste side. Would for sure buy this again.

Good juice. Still drinking well but don’t hold much longer. Nothing mind blowing, but a solid entry from Buty.
