From a literary perfect bottle, this wine had a light gold center and clear rims. The medium+ intensity nose showed lemons, egg custard, white stone, and some toasty oak.
In the mouth, this was crisp with nice richness and great length.
This was a nice wine that had just a touch too much oak got my taste. If you like toast, you might score this a point or two higher.

A really wonderful wine. Whiff of french oak upon opening and a mild touch of orange zest. On the palate even and fresh and has good legs in front of it. Consistent notes on 2 bottles opened from a 6 btl auction lot.

Who thought that a 21 year old white burgundy would benefit from three hours of airing. I was long a fan of Corton Charlemagne, and this is way up there. Jaw dropping in a way. Really great traditional style Corton Charlemagne, which I would contrast with the vanilla woody style of Louis Latour among others.

Very fresh, youthful and clean, nice crisp acidity. Drinks like a much younger wine, really great stuff.

Zachys La Paulée "Warm-up" Dinner (Sessions at the Presidio - San Francisco CA): Small glass, brief note. Still nicely fresh, surprisingly lean for the vintage. Good length and weight. Very enjoyable.
