  • Glass: Zalto Burgundy
Drunk over three days. Clear, medium golden color. Clean, medium+ intense, developing nose with lots of toasting notes (Vanilla, butter, oak), pear, spices, mineral, floral and vegetable notes. Complex and multi-layered, but a bit too much toasting to my taste.
Dry, medium acidity, 13,5% abv. Medium intense flavors of clean fruit (pear), vanilla, butterscotch, spices, honey. Creamy, good texture and grip, quite juicy. Medium+ length. 92-93

  • Glass: Schott Zwiesel Burgundy
    Popped and poured.
Light, citrus golden color. Intense, developing, beautiful nose, easily detectable as Pinot Gris: fresh vegetal notes, pears, citrus notes, fresh butter, white pepper corn, oak.
Dry, medium acidity, full bodied, creamy texture. Pure, precise fruit, underneath fine oak, though this wine has never seen a Barrique, only large wooden casks. Long, lingering finish. This wine drinks beautiful now, but will develop for 5+ more years, so no need to hurry. One of the best German Pinot Gris I have tasted so far.
