Pinot Gris from a single vineyard. Spontaneous fermentation with a small amount of skins, aged 8 months on the lees in 500 l barrels, 13% vol.
It was quite shy at opening with a medicinal touch, so I decided to double decant at noon for an hour and enjoyed it at dinner. Delicate nose with flowers, a hint of mint and a suggestion of lemon, on the palate fresh, good mouthfeel, dense but without any heaviness, medium to long finish.
Superb Pinot Gris, still very youthful, needs a lot of air at this stage, will only improve with further cellaring, 91-92+.
