A well rounded chard right in the prime of the drinking window. This wine has more of a pear and melon nose with a hint of buttered popcorn. Entry is actually pretty rich and rounded. Salted butterscotch, but not overly sweet in any way. This one did not seem to have quite the complexity that the more youthful 2013 Aubert Sugar Shack had. This wine did take about 20 minutes to resolve a little funky mushroom, so I'm not so sure if bottle variation isn't perhaps starting to set in here. And no way would I kick this one out of bed for eating crackers. This one has the rounded nature that would make it go really well with food or would be equally good all by itself!

Yellow color with a bouquet and flavor dominated by oak and mineral notes with only a bit of fruit. Quite unexpected for this vineyard and possibly just an off bottle, or on the wane. Drinkable but nothing to write home about.

Bright yellow gold. Light pear aromas. This seems quite restrained for what it is. At 13% it almost borders on elegant despite its clearly Cali roots. Drinking perfectly right now

Really in a sweet spot right now. Some light pear, clove flavors. Again clearly California, but enough restraint to pair this well with broiled fish.
