Versatile wine with notes of tomato sauce, spring meadow flowers, and brick dust. Interesting sipper, excellent with cheese and charcuterie. Probably better with seafood.

13% alcohol...very spicy nose, candy hot tamales, leather...palate is super spicy, reminds me of the way Cotes du Rhone used to taste before mother nature and new winemaking intervened...maybe ripe Gamay as a better example, though nothing green whatsoever. I'm a fan.

Rustic southern Italian wine, but still enjoyable. Better with food. Opens up with time in the glass.
