  I like the previous review that says: wholly pleasant if not the most complex. Nicely balanced... rich fruit... sneaky tannin. This could definitely get more people into Gaglioppo (if they could pronounce it)

  A wholly pleasant wine, albeit not the most complex. Delicious, concentrated black cherry flavors spiced with white pepper and jalapeño. I taste pronounced pyrazines, which I don’t associate with either of the varietals this grape is supposedly related to (Sangiovese and Nerello mascalese). This tastes much more like the latter than the former to me. This may be a wine of interest for people exploring the wines of nearby Sicily. Good stuff that kept improving with air.
