There was a sea of spiders on the first load of grapes in the first vintage in 2000 and you aren't supposed to kill them because they are good luck charms - if you let the spider crawl across your hand then they are said to bring money your way.
Planted on sand on sandstone. Cherster notes sand always give fruitiness to a wine, and yes, that is there on the palate. He prefers sand and sandstone for Roussanne over limestone. The Roussane doesn't work at all in the clay of teh Hermit Crab.
Chester notes that this ages really well, doesn't really go tertiary. It just looks like Hunter Semillion with more flavor. He notes that the tannins grows in it for many years.

Great intensity of flavour! Nice honeyed pea aromas (but it's a bone dry wine) along with apricot notes. Medium-bodied and zippy. Roussanne is one of the lesser-known but fabulous white grapes of the wine world, traditionally grown in the Rhone Valley of France. This interpretation of Roussanne is vibrant and mouth pleasing. Yes please!

Assez long et persistant, bien.
