Mmm, it was really good. Initial slightly harsh side notes mellowed quickly with air. Black berries, plums, flavorful dark fruits combined with rich, acidity.

Very Burgundian in style with high acidity but it works and this lighter-bodied pinot builds to a beautifully crisp and complex finish. The wine is very floral with a delicious cherry/rose flavor and saline minerality. Totally avoids the typical west coast sweetness of fruit and is just a great expression of the terroir. Really well done and should still age nicely. 92+

PnP with around 45 minutes in glass prior to dinner. This started out a little austere tonight making me wonder if the fruit was on the downslide. It either fleshed out or paired much better with the salmon than standalone before dinner. Lighter translucent red. Tart cherry and tart raspberry along with some soily spicy flavors. As usual, by the time we were eating dinner, this was a pleasure with depth and subtle intrigue. 88pts before dinner / 92pt with food. 12.5% Alc and very 2011! Paid $32 and worth it.
This was in a nice place, showing exactly as you'd hope at this stage in it's life. Vibrant red fruits on the nose & palate, medium-high acidity, and a velvety feel in the mouth. Paired great with lamb

Beautiful crimson color. Advanced nicely. Not sure how much longer I'd hold. Really nice bottle.
