Wonderfully balanced, this is drinking fabulously now. The nose is clean and crisp with citrus and graphite. On the palate it has a butteriness and has deep flavours of peach and mango. The finish is perfectly balanced. This really benefits from a few hours in the decanter. 95+

This has lost the oakiness mentioned in previous reviews, but still has fatness and is buttery. It really benefits from a few hours in the decanter, and continues to come alive in the glass. Possessing a clean nose of citrus and graphite, on the palate the wine is peppery with flavours of peach and lemon. Completed with an excellent finish, it is a wonderful wine, and one which will stay here for a good few years. 95+

My 50th extravaganza (Chez moi): Fat and somewhat oaky, Faiveley is Faiveley (still), but the acidity is bright and the balance is there in spite of the richesse; spicy, smoky, mineral – and of course much better and more open on day two. A real batard!

After WWS, KEVIN & KELLY IN BURGUNDY – FAIVELEY, BOUZEREAU, MERME, REMOISSENET, DUJAC & COMTE LIGER-BELAIR; 11/11/2013-11/14/2013 (Burgundy): White fruits, pear, white pepper, seashell and white flower. More masculine, excellent concentration and bright acidity. I find the wine not as precise and not as mineral. A classic batard.
