It was in a line up of Chardonnays served blind (including some Burgundies):
1. 2013 Marcassin 2. 2019 Henri Boillot Puligny-Montrachet Clos de la Mouchère 3. 2018 Kongsgaard Chardonnay The Judge 4. 2021 Faiveley Bâtard-Montrachet 5. 2022 Walter Scott Chardonnay X-Novo Vineyard 6. 2020 Henri Boillot Corton-Charlemagne
2021 Faively Batard-Montrachet - Once again pretty easy to pick out as a Burgundy due to the higher acidity and minerality. This wine showed lots of citrus, tart green apple and some tropical fruit notes, coupled with limestone and oyster. Painfully young but still quite delicious! Would love to taste this 5 to 10 years down the road! Still, 95+ to 96 today!

Palate: There's some freshness here but somehow with swift and a bit more acidity to show on the palate, giving a nice juiciness. Both dry with a subtle ripeness as well. Minerality on the palate leaves a slight prickliness on the finish.
Hoping a handful of years can allow any kind of "roundness" on the palate to soften and integrate a bit, allowing the freshness to pop more. Fingers crossed.

2022 Excellent Burgundy Adventure; 10/31/2022-11/6/2022 (Burgundy): Barrel Tasting - Youthful complex nose displaying ripe but pure yellow fruit, pineapple, a hint of pear, lemon curd, pina colada, beeswax, spicy spices and crushed rocks. Very refined palate, finely layered pure yellow fruit, fresh, pure and beautifully detailed, perfect amount of acidity and mineral, and a long pure sweet yellow fruit driven finish with a hint of coconut at the end. This seems readier than the other whites, already showing beautiful complexity.

The Blind Side - no, not football! (Chateau Simms): This was opened for about an hour prior to tasting.

Super fresh, vibrant and a bit of a saline note. I am loving white burgundy more and more.

Eyes Wide Shut - Day 1 (A quiet place): Nose: Round pears with a clean freshness and gentle ripeness, something like fruited honey and dried hay.
