Nice, definitely over its prime at 11 years. More Marsanne fruit ( to me cantaloupe, not my favorite melon), little of the peachy sweet taste the Viognier when the wine was young.

expected this wine to be over the hill based on other reviews... maybe because it was 1.5L and stored well for 5 years, it was beautiful, good nose, good body, the hit of the evening among many great wines.

This wine reminded me of a home brew ale, rather than a full bodied white. Deep amber coloring, which for me was truly unique. My problem was, I couldn't get past the bitterness. To some, this may be quite an experience, especially if you're someone who likes the heavy bitterness of brown ales and micro brews. My rating is strictly based on a lack of knowledge of this varietal, where someone knowing what to expect might think otherwise. Being a gift, I wasn't too disappointed in having to let this one go.

Definitely not over the hill. Bright floral, tropical notes.

this seemed to be a bit over the hill; lacking in fruit.I would be interested to try a more recent vintage.
