  • a very modern Oregon Pinot, but beautifully made. Made in the domaine Serene style, fruit forward but elegant at the same time. plenty of life to go

  • Notes are from 3rd day, Vacuvin after opening. Hello old friend. Its been a few years, but you are as dazzling as ever. Ruby in color with bluish diamond edges sparkle together like the love child of the Hope diamond and the Black Prince's ruby. Blueberry pie, vanilla bean, baking spices and cassis on the nose in a dizzying waft of scents. Still very bright front palate with plenty of acidity and balance. Strawberry and cherry note through the mid palate. The back palate and finish have remnants of heat with soft tannins still present, standing guard over the baked fruit center like humble servants to the Queen on her Sapphire Jubilee.

  • Bright red fruits on the nose, followed by lightly spicy red fruits on the palate with great acidity and very fine tannins. Its great structure carries it though to a very nice and lengthy finish. A wine of grace and finesse.

  • This is a lovely wine that was recommended by the shop owner. Bigger and more rounded (but by no means "big") than some wines we've tried from OR. Beautiful flavors of cherry and other fruits. Will be nice in a year or two. Was still approachable and we both liked.

  • Back next day to finish bottle. Vacuvin from opening previous night. Lots of crushed berry, loam and smoke on the nose this morning. Like sitting beside a fire that's burned all night and still glows orange. Mushroom and beef roast drippings. Bright acidity jumps off the palate, plenty of oak too but fruit manages to wrestle control and save the finish. Black fruit, cassis and camphor release if you sip and spray your palate. Beguiling beauty and refinement.
