Leiden just before Easter: Such an elegant nose, spice, red fruit, lots of body but with a beautifull leanness, drinks so well, so balanced. Very fine, gorgeous.

Nose a bit earthy, with cherry and mineral base. Palate still a bit tannic and tight, but the fruit was quite nicely wrapped with oak spice. Mineral aftertaste. Can age longer too keep in track of its development, but can consume now with a 2-3 hrs of breathing.

Weekly tasting group RWP #240: Burgundy 2011 (@ VD): Perfumed bouquet with raspberries and other red berries, some nuts, marzipan and a bit rustic. On the palate very juicy, ripe red and dark forest fruits, herbs, good acidity, some pepper, good acidity and slightly drying tannin. A clean and exiting wine with a good concentration. Very youthful and a good future of at least another 10 years.

Open from the beginning, black cherries, some earthy notes, nice salinity, middle density and length, very good for the level and the vintage.

No notes taken. Side-by-side with the 2013, which I preferred.
